Potion Coffee aka Coffee with Adaptogens and Collagen
Ah! Coffee, it’s the smell that can get you down the stairs and into the kitchen on a cold morning with your eyes closed. I feel like I don't necessarily need it but love the way it starts my day.
Plus my huz makes it in the morning before he leaves for work, SCORE!
I’m a bit sensitive to caffeine so if I have more than a cup the world will know! That’s one of the reasons I am obsessed with my new Healthy Human mini cruiser which is just 12oz of warm goodness, so realistically I can have 2 because I fill mine half way with Malk.
My parents were never big coffee drinkers so I didn't really start loving the morning brew until I was a bit older. The truth is when coffee first hit my lips I didn't love it. Then I met the devil…. coffee mate where I could make coffee into a “dessert”.
Little did I know that those nicely decorated bottles could kill me (and you!).
It took me years to tear away from all the chemicals in that gross container (seriously read the back… it shouldn't even be legal!) but now it tastes much different, to the point where I will spit it out. If you are still drinking coffee mate please do yourself a favor and read the back of the bottle.....Thank me later.
Switching out to all natural things in my coffee wasn’t easy and took a bit of getting used to, but now I wouldn't have it any other way. Although I love going out for coffee (you better believe I have my Healthy Human with all the fixings already inside) my favorite coffee is a pour- over that my husband makes with Revolutionary Roasters coffee beans. They are locally roasted right down the street and have so many varieties but my favorite is Latin Lover ;) I also add a ton of what I call "potions", which includes collagen for my hair and nails, Bliss Booster for my mind, and turmeric for my joints.
adaptogen coffee by I am Nichole
Here is the long list of greatness I add into my coffee every morning:
Homemade milk with my Almond Cow.
1 scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen- no taste and great for your hair, nails, bones etc.
If you are pescatarian there is a Vital Proteins Marine Collagen that I highly recommend!
Moondeli Bliss Booster Powder (I also use the Moondeli Energy Tonic and when I'm traveling I bring my Moondeli Travel Tonics )
Dollop of Honey.
Fourth and Heart Ghee (Himalayan Sea Salt is my go to) or Coconut Oil.
I mix this all in my Nespresso Aeroccino which re-heats my coffee and mylk, as well as blends all the goods together.
I know this list might seem long but this is the real deal.... it's not just coffee, there are some strong potions in here that are life changing :)
Give it a month and let me know what you think! We can always meet in person if you want.
I take my Healthy Human Cruiser already filled with the potions and milk and ask for the coffee shops best brew!
xoxo,
